- Andhakaran Azhi – Lovely virgin
beach where the backwaters open into the sea is 5 Kms from
the homestay. The beach is clean and the sea calm. Not at
all crowded. You can wet your feet in the shallow waters.
The outer sea is however not very safe to swim in.
- Arthinkal – This is another beach
side village about 6 kms from the home stay where you can
visit the famous pilgrim church where St. Sebastian’s
feast is celebrated in January with great pomp and devotion.
The church was built by the Portuguese 500 years back and
is visited by people of all religions. Arthinkal also has
a nice beach.
- Marari Beach - The famous beach resort
is about 18 kms from the home stay. Several resorts cater
to the tourists.
- Kumarakam – The world renowned
backwater resort at Kumarakam is about 25 kms away.
- Kumbalangi Tourist Village - It is about
30 kms from the home stay where you can enjoy the facilities.
- Alleppey – The Venice of the East
is only 25 kms from the home stay. Alleppey is famous for
its canals, house boats, coir factories and beaches.
